Victorious “shootout" against FC “GNS-Spartak”

After a two-week pause caused by the forced skipping of one round, FDC Vista returned to the matches of the Krasnodar Region's Higher League Championship and in the 23rd day played away against the football club “GNS-Spartak”.

As in the first round match, Spartak managed to quickly open the score when Pavel Priymak ran into a counterattack and sent the ball into the net with a kick from the penalty area. Our players could not get used to the peculiarities of the natural lawn at the GNS-Spartak stadium and, although they controlled the course of the meeting before the break, they did not create very many really dangerous moments. And the Spartak team almost doubled the advantage shortly before the break, but our goalkeeper, Egori Achinov, eliminated one on one.

Even in the first half, our coaching staff decided to make some changes in the line-up and shortly after the break, Emmanuel Obere, who came on as a substitute, equalized after a flank attack and an assist by Jonathan Okoronkwo. The hosts did not have time to recover, as the boys of Patrick Papyan repeated a similar attack like a carbon copy, and this time Okoronkwo gave an assist Ruslan Gabaraev.

After 15 minutes, our top scorer had already hit the target himself, having converted a penalty for a foul on Obere. However, then a repetition of the scenario of our team's match against Traktor almost happened. Leading with a two-goal advantage, the red and white conceded two goals within five minutes and allowed Krasnodar to equalize.

But, fortunately, our guys learned from the unsuccessful experience and, in the end, found the strength to tip the scales in their favor again. At the last minute of regular time, during a quick counterattack, Okoronkwo ran away one-on-one with the goalkeeper, and he sent the ball into the net without any problems – 4:3!
