Stumbled at the finish line

July 27, on Wednesday, in the semi-final match of the Cup of the Krasnodar Region FDC «Vista» played on the road with «Pioner» (Leningradsky district). The match was very tense and dramatic.

The game began with a quick goal against «Pioner». Already at 22 seconds, Ikechukvu Kalu completed a cross from the right flank, and Umeh Emmanuel sent the ball on target with a touch.

On 18 minutes «Pioner» equalized: Sergey Gorelov was the first on the ball after a corner kick. After 11 minutes, Ilya Borisov brought «Pioner» ahead. And after a couple of minutes Spiridon Filippidi put the ball into the right corner from 16 meters.

But the red-whites only began to put more pressure. And on 34 minutes Umeh performed a solo pass from the center of the field to the opponent's penalty area, irresistibly punching into the corner of the goal – 3:2. Exactly 10 minutes later, Abdoulaye Traore equalized the score – 3:3.

In the second time of the match, there were fewer dangerous moments, as the teams did not want to take risks.

Everything was decided in the penalty shoot-out – 4:3 in favor of «Pioner». Our penalty shooters were: Abdoulaye Traore, Christian Nwachukwu, Umeh Emmanuel and Ikechukwu Kalu. Opponent: Ivan Semyonov, Dmitry Kayumov, Alexander Bibik and Philip Cherkasov.
