Defeat in the minority

On 16 June, our team went to the city of Krymsk, where it was to play the match of the 1/16 final of the Cup of the Krasnodar Region against the team "Sopka Geroyev". This team is one of the leaders of the Governor's Cup and in front of its fans was eager to show itself brightly against the background of the club of the Highest League of the regional championship.

And the beginning of the match confirmed the intentions of the home team. Due to the absence of a number of key players, it took some time for the FDC “Vista” players to establish connections in the middle of the field and during this period the opponent managed to create a dangerous moment, but soon our guys began to respond with their attacks. When the game was completely under our control by the 30th minute, we were suddenly outnumbered. After receiving a second yellow card, Jonathan Okoronkwo left the field.

However, the absence of one player did not significantly change the pattern of our game. The red and white still had more possession of the ball and could take the lead at the end of the first half, but Emmanuel Obere did not realize his one-on-one and the team went to the dressing room with zero goals on the scoreboard.

In the second half, the game calmed down and the opponents slowed down, preferring to act more reliably when developing attacks. FDC "Vista" organized several chances due to the positional offensive, but it was not possible to bring the action to the goal. The home team, having spent a striking five minutes in the middle of the second half, managed to hit the goal of Alexander Dyachenko twice and secured a comfortable advantage for the end of the meeting.

The final segment took place in the attacks of our team. Once the ball hit the post after drawing a corner, and then the match referee Vitaly Doroshenko ignored the play with the hand of the defender of "Sopka Geroyev" in his penalty area.

Now Artur Hovhannisyan's team will have to focus on the Championship games, the nearest of which will be held on Saturday at the "Olymp" Stadium in Kabardinka. The opponent is "GNS-Spartak".
