Full advantage is not always a victory

Today, on March 6, on the field of the «BootCamp» sports complex in Shirokaya Balka, FDC «Vista» and «Torpedo» from Miass played a draw – 1:1. In the first minutes of the game, the teams looked at each other, alternately seizing the initiative.

As the starting ten minutes of the meeting passed, «Vista» finally took over the advantage, which is confirmed by the statistics of the match. Our players struck four times more shots on goal than the opponent, and did not allow the «Torpedo» players to earn either penalties or corners at their gates.

The first half did not give away goals scored, but in the second, the teams still failed to keep the goal intact. In the 57th minute, one of «Vista's» corner kicks brought success. John Batigi made an accurate pitch, the goalkeeper and the defenders of «Torpedo» could not get to the ball, and Emmanuel John chose the right position and technically punched his head – 1:0.

Our team had a lot of opportunities today to defeat «Torpedo». «Torpedo» team had enough to realize only one of the rare approaches to the gates of «Vista» to score a goal and escape from defeat.

An episodic loss of concentration at the end of the match led to confusion in the penalty area and Dmitry Kuzmin shot our goalkeeper from an acute angle in the 82nd minute – 1:1.

This match was another confirmation that a full game advantage does not always provide a winning score. The author of the scored goal Emmanuel John noted: «If we didn't win, it means there is something to work on and something to improve in our game. We will make every effort to achieve victory in the next match».

An annoying draw, but that's if you start from the final result. If we evaluate our performance against the background of a professional club playing in the Second League (FNL-2), then this meeting should definitely be included in the asset.
