- Good afternoon, Tigran Samvelovich. Let's start with the most discussed issue of recent days. In the current realities for domestic sports, how problematic was it to bring a Russian team to Europe for a football tournament?
- Hello. You know, in fact, we didn't have any problems with this. We received an offer to take part in the Botev Cup tournament, we agreed and pretty quickly resolved all visa issues regarding our players, coaches and club staff. I will say that we accepted this offer with pleasure, because this is the first foreign tournament for us, and we are happy to represent our Krasnodar Region and Russia here. Our team is focused exclusively on the sports part, so as for other issues, near-sports, we do not discuss them.
- Do the FDC «Vista» coaching staff face maximum tasks at the Botev Cup tournament, or is it with a footnote that «Vista» is just making its debut on the international arena?
- We have no discounts due to the fact that this is the first away tournament for Vista, nor maximum tasks. We have only one task – to try our hand and show as much as possible what we are capable of today. If we show the maximum that we can, then the result will be positive anyway.
- If we talk about the FDC «Vista» project, is it important to show our players to European football specialists so that they would follow the players of our Football Development Center with even more attention?
- In fact, we want to test our players at the level of European rivals, because in Russia we meet with quite serious teams every year. We play with adult professional clubs that play in the Second and First leagues, as well as the RPL. In general, it is important for us to understand the quality and abilities of our players in matches against peers from European teams who are in leading roles in their national championships. I would like to conclude whether we are lagging behind in something or vice versa, we are ahead of someone.
- The graduates of FDC «Vista» successfully play for their national teams U-20, U-21, while being one of the youngest players in the squad. What is the peculiarity of such effective training?
- It is difficult to answer this question in any way unambiguously. I can say that this is a combination of our common efforts, the work of the coaching staff and selection.
- What are the plans of FDC «Vista» for the second half of 2023?
- At the moment, work is underway regarding our participation in the tournament in the UAE, the city of Dubai at the end of this year. In the meantime, pre-season, we will try to play as many matches as possible with professional clubs. There is already an agreement that after the Botev Cup tournament we will play a friendly match against FC «Ararat-Armenia», which is currently preparing for the Conference League, at a small gathering for us in Armenia. And upon returning to Russia, we will hold several sparring sessions with the teams of the First League and the RPL.
