We begin our digest with events in Russian football.
The MIR-RPL season has ended. FDC Vista graduate Olakunle Olusegun played in the final round of the championship against Dynamo Moscow. Olakunle played the full match on the field, and FC Krasnodar achieved a victory with a score of 1:0. These three points helped Krasnodar take second place and win silver medals in the Premier League. For the Krasnodar football club and Olakunle Olusegun, RPL silver is the highest achievement in Russian football.
The season in the MELBET First League ended not without success for our students. Arsenal Tula, which includes Jonathan Okoronkwo and David Nduka, took 4th place in the league, which gives the right to play in transition matches and compete for the right to compete in the Russian Premier League next season. Last week, Arsenal Tula played two matches, in one of which Jonathan Okoronkwo scored the winning goal. For Jonathan, this goal was 17 of the season, and the striker himself took first place in the league's scorers race.
We are transported to Armenia, where the last round of the Premier League also took place. Previously heading Vista, Artur Hovhannisyan, now the head coach of FC Van, completed the task of keeping the team in the Premier League for the next season. Last week, FC Van played two matches, both ended in a draw. Our student Momo Toure distinguished himself in one of the matches.
Also last week, Matthew Tejiri Gbomadu won the Premier League Goal of the Month award.
Our student Christian Nwachukwu scored his first goal for FC Botev Plovdiv in a Bulgarian championship match. In the game against CSKA 1948, Christian Nwachukwu opened the scoring. It should be noted that Success Ukaki and Emmanuel John, who, like Christian Nwachuvku, were previously FDC Vista players, also appeared in the starting lineup. Unfortunately, in the last ten minutes of the match, Botev conceded twice and lost 1:2.
A graduate of FDC Vista, now defending the colors of the Greek Olympiacos, Algassime Bah scored a hat-trick last week in the match of the second Greek Super League against Panathinaikos. Olympiacos-B beat Panathinaikos-B with a score of 4:1. In the current season of the second Super League, Algassim Ba scored 14 goals and was among the top three scorers in the league.
