Lungu's career began in 2006 at Kafue FC. In July 2009, he was loaned to the Georgian “Bahia” from the city of Zugdidi. Having played a good season in Georgia, in August 2010 Lungu joined the Yekaterinburg Ural squad, played in 141 matches and scored 7 goals. He became the first African player in the club's history. He played five matches for the Zambian youth team and made his debut for the main team in 2010.
