Izuchukwu Okonkwo, a Nigerian midfielder and FDC Vista academy graduate, has made his debut for the first team of FC Slavia Prague. He made his first appearance yesterday in a cup match against FC Varnsdorf, where his team secured a resounding 5–1 victory. Prior to this, Izuchukwu Okonkwo had played for the club's reserve and youth squads.
It is worth noting that FC Slavia is competing in the UEFA Champions League this season and is set to face European giants such as FC Arsenal and FC Bayern Munich. The Czech side will also play against the Azerbaijani club Sabah, which features another of our academy graduate, Christian Nwachukwu.
We congratulate Izuchukwu Okonkwo on his debut and wish him success in establishing himself in FC Slavia Prague first-team squad this season.
