We are studying our opponent - FC Druzhba Maykop

The first serious success of Druzhba dates back to 1952, when the team won the Krasnodar Territory Cup. Viktor Kaleshin, the founder of the famous football dynasty, played in that team — Igor's father, Vitaly, Evgeny, Igor's grandfather. In 1969, Druzhba became the strongest team of the RSFSR among the "B" class teams. In the final tournament, which took place in Maykop, the hosts scored the same number of points with Spartak Rybinsk, but beat the opponent by winning a personal meeting (2:0).

In the early 90s, Druzhba really struggled to enter the Russian top league (now the Premier League). In 1992, the team took fourth place in the West group of the first league (the winners of the groups were promoted, and this winner was Zhemchuzhina).

In the 1992-1993 Russian Cup, Druzhba beat four major league teams: the same Pearl — 1:0, Spartak Vladikavkaz — 0:0 (on penalties — 4:2), Rostselmash — 4:0, Stavropol Dynamo — 3:0 and only lost in the semifinals to away to Torpedo Moscow, the future Cup winner — 0:1. For this success, the players of the team from Maykop received the title of "Master of Sports of Russia".

The team's home arena is the Adyghe Republican Stadium (its second name, Druzhba, is equally used). The beautiful 15-thousandth stadium was reconstructed in 2017 and many clubs of the first league may well envy this stadium.

To date, Druzhba occupies 11th place in the standings of the second league "B" (group 1). At the same time, the team plays better away than at home. The residents of Maikop scored 13 points at home, 17 away.
